Message from Headteacher Mr C Burns

I hope you and your families are well and enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend!  It’s been a short week but another busy one at St. Nicholas!

Can we continue to keep our Year 11 and Year 13 students in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for their exams?  As you know, some aspects of the exams have already started, and I’d like to congratulate our students on their positive attitudes, enthusiasm, and determination.  It is an exciting but challenging time for them all, but many young people will be feeling anxious and worried.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if your child needs any support or guidance; we will do all we can to help!
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a good weekend.
Best wishes,
Mr C Burns

Message from our Chaplain Mairie
As the exam season begins in earnest (there have been many practical and oral tests already) we remember all our students in prayer…

Prayer for Students

Father of Light and Wisdom, thank you for giving our students a knowing mind and a loving heart.
Help them to keep learning every day — no matter what the subject may be –
and help them know how to find you and love you in all the things you have made.

Encourage them when the studies are difficult and when they are tempted by distractions.
Enlighten them when thoughts come slowly and help them to grasp all they need to know.
Bless them with concentration, calm and determination to persevere.

Grant them the grace to put their knowledge to use in building the kingdom of God on earth,
Acknowledging the dignity and value of all and protecting those in need.

Amen.

Jesus at the Centre

Being a disciple means being constantly ready to bring the love of Jesus to others, and this can happen unexpectedly and in any place: on the street, during work, on a journey.

On Wednesday over 60 St Nicholas athletes took part in the Mid Cheshire Athletics Competition at Victoria Park, Warrington.
Despite horrendous weather conditions, St Nicholas had many mid Cheshire champions and many will be selected for the Cheshire competitions Saturday 10th June.
Well done to everyone who took part and gave their best – we are proud of all our athletes!
