Message from our Chaplain Mairie
Support for families
Please refer to last week’s newsletter of details of organisations that are supporting families in these difficult times.
We have been spending time in the chapel for our Lent reflection which has focused on Contemplative prayer and gratitude. This is a form of meditation that invites a conversation with God. Certainly, as we have invited the older year groups in first,  the students have been glad of the peaceful atmosphere in the chapel and appreciated the time to value what we take for granted.

Next Thursday is the National Day of Remembrance for those affected by COVID and the lockdown. Although three years have passed, I am sure that the impact is still having an effect on many of us. We will join our prayers to the national mark of respect on Thursday.

Industrial action – 15th and 16th March

We would like to say thank you to our brilliant students for the hard work and maturity you showed during Wednesday and Thursday’s remote learning provision. The engagement was high on both days and some of the work we have seen has been impressive.

Thank you also to parents and carers for your understanding and support.

Library and Literacy
Congratulations to the members of Book Club who had their Cheshire School’s Book Award inspired artwork Tweeted and re-tweeted by well-known authors such as Tom Palmer. They had some lovely comments from the authors about their alternative book covers.
