Sixth Form Character Day

Sixth Form Character Day

Ken and Barbie rubbed shoulders with Power Rangers and the Flintstones during the Sixth Form character day. Two hundred students from Years 12 and 13 along with Sixth Form teachers dressed up as their favourite character to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation, which grants wishes for children and young people fighting life threatening conditions. Wishes can include starring in a film, going on an amazing holiday, meeting a celebrity hero or having a life changing bedroom makeover.

This was the Sixth Form’s second character day and it is hoped that at least £400 was raised. Students donated £2 for the chance to dress up for the day and a dozen teachers joined in the fun. It was a really good way to bring everyone together, and the sixth formers were able to raise awareness about the amazing charity with other students. The money donated by the students was boosted by a quiz.
