Student Council Assemblies

Fairtrade Stall

Earlier this year, the Student Council presented a number of introductory assemblies outlining our ideas and plans for the coming year as well informing the various year groups about what we had already accomplished having only being established for one academic year.

Each of us took on our own role in the assembly and co-operated as we always do to work effectively. In the assemblies, we told everyone about our underlying morals and work ethic by reminding them of the remarkable story of Malala Yousafzai who stood up for what was right and spoke out about what she believed in which is exactly what we aim to do as a student council. In addition, we clearly stated our stance on bullying by putting together a short role-play to address this issue and offer support. Ultimately, we aim to act as a voice for each and every student in the school but we couldn’t do that if they didn’t know we were there, so that is why our assemblies were vital and we are grateful for having had the opportunity to present them.
