Extended Project Qualification is an additional qualification you can complete during Sixth Form to add to your academic profile. It gives you UCAS points (equivalent to half an A Level) but also shows prospective admissions tutors or future employers you have a profound interest in a particular area. It gives you the freedom to study something you are interested in. This is helpful if you are not taking A Levels related to the university course you are applying for. It helps you develop the independent study, research, critical thinking and essay writing skills required for university. Some universities will reduce the grade requirements with an EPQ.
