PHYSICS

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

GCSE Physics Grade 5 or GCSE Conbined Science both Grade 5, GCSE Maths 5 or above.

WHAT IS THE COURSE CONTENT AND HOW WILL I BE EXAMINED?

YEAR 12
Measurements and their errors, particles and radiation, mechanics and materials, waves, and electricity.
YEAR 13
Further mechanics and thermal physics, fields and their consequences, nuclear physics
and turning points in physics.

There will be three, two hour examinations covering the content and practical skills learned during the
course. Each exam approx. 33%; Practical work is used extensively to allow understaning of theoretical concepts of how our universe works
