Race For Life

Thursday saw the whole school participate in Race for Life.

It was a wonderful, life-affirming event. All students and staff gave it their all – some even dressed up in pink accessories and we all reflected on who and what we were running for.

The sun was shining throughout – a brilliant day which once again saw St Nicholas coming together as the brilliant community that we are!

At the time of writing we have raised an amazing £1637

Year 12 Induction Day

Our new Year 12 students had an amazing time at Battlefield Live in Knutsford as part of their induction. They have made an impressive start to their time in the Sixth Form and their chosen subjects.

Sporting Success

Michael Rose represented Great Britain at the European Freestyle kayaking competition.
This is the first year Michael could compete and was up against competitors up to 2 years older than him from all across Europe. As the youngest member of the GB squad he carried the flag for the Opening ceremony through the streets of Austria.  Michael came an impressive 13th, and is certainly one to watch in future.

Book of the Week

Drama by Raina Telgemeier is number 7 in the US Top 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books 2010 – 2019. Quite the feat considering it’s a gorgeous book about an aspiring theatrical designer navigating friendships and first crushes in the midst of a middle school’s production of a musical. This has been a popular book in our library and well worth a read.
