Message from Mairie
Year 10 Retreat
It has been lovely to spend time with Year 10 students during their in-house retreat day. This day has given them time to face some challenges, consider some opinions and learn about some of the less obvious talents of their friends and form members. Their sessions included learning more about their form saints, discussing some Big Questions and learning about how our faith informs our attitude to Climate Change.  They also faced some physical and team building challenges with visitors from the Army and our own PE department. Not to forget the treat, given the weather, of their own ice cream van at lunchtime.
Thank you to all the students for bringing their best selves to the day.
Covid home testing
Covid home testing
Due to the increase in positive cases across the Local Authority, the Health Protection team have asked that we remind parents and students to continue to test twice a week.
School has received a further delivery of test kits which have been offered and distributed to all students this week to take home before the weekend.
Negative/void test results now no longer need to be reported to school, just via the government Covid test result website https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
Please inform school directly of any positive test results as soon as possible. Many thanks for your ongoing support.
Pentecost Focus Letter
The Bishops of England and Wales have written to all young people asking them to recognise that care for our Common Home is a part of their faith responsibility. This revisits the letter ‘Laudato Si’, written by Pope Francis and is in response to the G7 conference taking place this month and COP26 taking place later in the year. In school we will be considering how we can help to support our local and global environment. Please take a moment to read the letter with your child.
