Congratulations to Jacob Jones who has been successful in his trial and has now signed for Preston North End Academy.

Amazing fundraising
Between 20th July 2024 and 28th February 2025 Edward Bishop challenged himself to run or walk 748 miles (1203.79 km) – the distance between home and Kandersteg in Switzerland.
He took on the challenge to help raise money for 1st Hartford Scouts, Explorer and Network members who will be travelling to Kandersteg in Summer 2025 for an unforgettable experience in an incredible location.
He has run, walked and jogged in sun, wind, rain, snow and sleet over the past 7 months and completed his challenge on Sunday – 5 days before his deadline! He’s covered an average of 3.5 miles per day for the past 218 days.
Up to now, he has raised £823 in total. The money will be put towards the overall target of £60,000 allowing 60 young people and leaders from the unit to have an experience of a lifetime.
