A prayer to share
Loving God,
You showed us what love looks like through Jesus—patient, kind, forgiving, and selfless.
Help us to live that kind of love each day.
Teach us to care for one another,
to include those who feel left out,
and to choose kindness even when it’s difficult.
When we are quick to judge, slow us down.
When we are hurt, help us to forgive.
When we feel unnoticed, remind us that we are deeply loved by You.
May our words be gentle, our actions be generous, and our hearts be open.
Let your love guide our school, our friendships, and our lives.
So that in all we do, we reflect your goodness.
Amen.
A Message from our Chaplain, Mairie
World Environment Day 5th June
The theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” invites us not only to admire creation but to learn from it. Every ecosystem shows us that survival depends on cooperation and respect for limits—lessons humanity often forgets. In the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, we are called to rediscover a sense of kinship with the natural world.
Francis did not see creation as a resource to exploit, but as a family to cherish. His life challenges us to move from domination to relationship, from consumption to care.
This World Environment Day calls us to:
Listen to the voice of creation
Reduce our impact on the planet
Advocate for climate justice
Live more simply and sustainably
If we embrace this path, guided by the example of St Francis, we can help shape a hopeful future—where humanity lives in harmony with the earth, not at its expense.
St Nicholas plan to conquer another Three Peaks
St Nick’s Yorkshire Three Peaks
The staff at St Nick’s are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise money for four charities close to our hearts.
Over the past few weeks, we have been training for the challenge, meeting up over weekends and the holidays to make sure we are ready. This has so far included trips to Derwent Water, Delamere, Ingleborough, Moel Famau, the Wirral Coastal Path as well as many miles covered by individuals.

Reading Success
KS3 Sparx Reader Success
Years 7, 8 and 9 have been working hard on Sparx Reader, building their reading stamina and earning an impressive number of Sparx Reader Points.
Across KS3, students have achieved a combined 3,449,423 SRP, which represents approximately 5,751 hours of careful reading.
This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the commitment many of our students are showing to regular, thoughtful reading. Well done to all students who have contributed to this excellent total. Keep reading!

Outgrown Uniform and PE kit

If your child is leaving school or has outgrown their uniform or PE kit, please send it in to school where we will reuse it for students who need it or pass it on to the Green Uniform and Babybank. This can also be sent in after the exams have finished.
Thank you for your help
